Dr. Ann Lundberg
Assistant Adjunct - Communication
I started my academic career as a geology major at the University of Wyoming. Then I took a Shakespeare class and ended up adding an English major to the mix. I went to graduate school at the U of Notre Dame to study the interaction of science and literature. My dissertation "Mapping the Geologic Wilderness: Science, Nature Writing, and the American Self" looks at the exploration of the American West.
I've taught American Literature and Writing & Rhetoric at the college level for the past 25 years. When I can, I spend the summers working as a park ranger for the National Park Service. Most recently (2019) I gave tours of cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde National Park.
My hobbies include hiking, camping, kayaking, quilting, and serving as a volunteer firefighter on the Orange City Fire Department.
