Jan Veenhof was professor of dogmatic theology at the Free University in Amsterdam from 1973 to 1989. He then became a pastor in Switzerland, where he also taught at the Universities of Basel and Bern. He is a well-known authority in the history of theology, pneumatology, and charismatic renewal.
Albert Wolters (translator) is professor of religion/theology and classical languages at Redeemer University College, Ancaster, Ontario. He is the author of Creation Regained: Biblical Basics for a Reformational Worldview (Eerdmans) and provided expert commentary on the Dead Sea Scrolls in The Copper Scroll: Overview, Text and Translation (Sheffield).
Herman Bavinck (1854-1921) was a leading theologian of the nineteenth century Dutch Calvinist revival. Soon after completing his degree at the University of Leiden, he became professor in systematic theology and ethics at the Theological School in Kampen (1883-1902). In 1902, he moved to the Free University of Amsterdam, where he took Abraham Kuyper's place in the chair of systematic theology (1902-1921).
