B.J. Haan Auditorium

The B.J. Haan Auditorium is equipped with two concert grand pianos, a Steinway and a Kawai.

The adjoining Music Building houses rehearsal rooms and studios for all of the musical organizations on campus, as well as vocal and instrumental practice rooms and music faculty offices. Students have access to mechanical action and electro-pneumatic pipe organs, upright and grand piano practice rooms, instrumental practice rooms, a Yamaha Disklavier, and a Dekker harpsichord.

The B.J. Haan Auditorium and adjoining Music Building were completed in 1979. The auditorium was named in honor of the first president of the college, who served in that capacity until 1982.

Casavant Organ

The B.J. Haan Auditorium is home to a 3-manual, 57-rank Casavant Frères pipe organ (op. 3360), one of the largest in the Midwest.
