Career Development Coordinator

Dordt College has an opening for a Career Development Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of Alumni and External Relations, this person will assist in all aspects of the Career Center services. This is a full-time administrative staff position.

Duties include developing and maintaining relations with external constituents for internship and job placement opportunities; providing resources for students on résumé development, internship and job opportunities, and graduate school application; developing and coordinating workshops on career development topics as well as working with academic departments regarding internships and career opportunities.

Desired qualifications include a BA with a minimum of 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training. A MA degree would be preferred but is not required. Communication skills, including the ability to speak before groups, are required along with administrative skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with multiple entities.

Special Gifts Officer

Dordt College is seeking a Special Gifts Officer who will be responsible for identifying and cultivating a growing portfolio of major gift prospects, while maintaining and building relationships with existing donors. Particular emphasis will be placed on securing leadership gifts to the Dordt College Fund and working with donors and prospects capable of gifts of $50,000 or greater in support of important new initiatives and to strengthen existing programs at Dordt College.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a minimum of 3 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training. An enthusiastic commitment to and desire to promote the mission and vision of Dordt College is a critical requirement. Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking ability. Computer skills, including word processing, internet, e-mail, and network applications is required.

Web Coordinator

Dordt College is seeking a Web Coordinator who will be responsible for creating and managing appropriate content for dcc.dordt.edu and www.dordt.edu.

The Web Coordinator will provide customer service for all web content stakeholders, manage content lifecycles and analytics, work with the project developer to create and deliver custom applications, create strategies for key constituent groups, and provide a vision for social media stakeholders.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Arts degree in a related field and be comfortable with a broad range of technology and media. The ability to manage and think about a variety of projects and concepts simultaneously, strong interpersonal and relational abilities, initiative, and willingness to work with and train student assistants are required. Experience with a content management system (Drupal preferred) is an asset.

Webmaster

The Computer Services Department at Dordt College is seeking someone to fill the full-time position of Webmaster. This individual will be primarily responsible for all web development at the college. Responsibilities include developing external web pages, as well as internal and affiliate web pages.

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is desired, as well as experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript and scripting languages. Candidates should have experience in a UNIX or Windows environment, as well as strong understanding of web-based applications. Drupal experience is strongly preferred. Good communication skills are required. The successful candidate will be a team player, capable of meeting deadlines while working with a wide range of customer expectations and skills.
