Admissions Counselor
Dordt College has an opening for an Admissions Counselor beginning in May of 2013. Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management, this person will be responsible for working with prospective students and families to communicate the opportunities available to them at Dordt College. This person will effectively communicate the programs offered, extra-curricular activities that are available, and engage and enhance their interest and participation in Christian Higher Education as a whole.
Duties include contacting students by phone as well as at schools, churches, homes and at college fairs across the country. This work involves planning trips, preparing itineraries, and traveling to various destinations to meet with prospective students and parents.
Desired qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts degree, strong computer skills, and effective and efficient organizational and coordination skills. Excellent public relations and written and oral communication skills, as well as a desire to work with prospective students who are high school age are desired. Candidates must have or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license and be willing to do extensive traveling, which would include evenings and weekends.

Director of Alumni and External Relations
Dordt College has an opening for a Director of Alumni and External Relations. Reporting to the Vice President for Advancement, this person will be responsible for directing and overseeing external relations of the college in the areas of alumni relations and career services.
Duties include directing a comprehensive alumni engagement strategy, creating a network for student and alumni internship and career placement, and directing support staff in coordinating job placement activities and compiling placement statistics. In addition this individual will lead church relations, create a network of volunteers to assist with regional activities and opportunities, and build a class representative and reunion program.
A Bachelor of Arts degree is required, with a minimum of 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An enthusiastic commitment to promote the mission and vision of the college is necessary. Excellent public relations, written and oral communication, and organizational skills are also required. Travel will be required in this position.

Learning Community Area Coordinator
The office of Student Services is searching for a candidate to fill a full-time opening for a Learning Community Area Coordinator. As an Area Coordinator, this individual will both serve as an educator, role model, facilitator, mentor, leader, administrator, and an essential person in the effective operation of the residence life learning community program. Primary responsibilities will include supervising, training and evaluating student staff, advising the hall programming council; maintain the general operation of two residence halls including attention to significant administrative details and budget management. Other duties include monitoring academic success, working with at-risk students, and encouraging the development of student leaders.
A Bachelor of Arts degree is required. A Master’s of Arts degree and two years of residence hall experience is desired or an equivalent combination of education and experience in student personnel or closely related field. Other requirements include excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Network Administrator
The Computer Services Department at Dordt College is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Network Administrator.
Desired qualities include:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Perl/PHP, Java, HTML, CSS is desired.
• Strong technical ability, good interpersonal skills and a commitment to working as a team player.
• Candidates will be expected to meet deadlines and be capable of working on multiple projects at any given time.

Nursing
Dordt College is seeking an individual to fill a part-time opening in the Nursing Department beginning August 2013. Responsibilities within this position include development and maintenance of clinical agreements and relationships with clinical sites. In collaboration with other nursing faculty, this individual would be responsible for student orientation, on-going oversight and evaluation of nursing students while in their clinical experiences, and assessment of clinical sites. The position includes student advising and may also include classroom teaching, depending on qualifications and experience. The position will range from 50-70% of full-time. A Master’s degree in nursing is required.

Preschool Teacher
Stepping Stones, the preschool operated by Dordt College, is searching for individuals who are passionate about working with young children.
The Preschool Teacher would be responsible for planning and leading lessons. For this position a BA in elementary education or early childhood development (with an early childhood endorsement) is preferred.

Provost
Dordt College invites applications and nominations for the position of Provost. The Provost leads the college in the central learning tasks of the institution and serves as the chief academic officer of the college. The Provost provides guidance, encouragement, and accountability to faculty and academic staff of the college in order to equip students, alumni, and the broader community to work effectively for Christ-centered renewal in all aspects of life. The Provost reports to and makes appropriate faculty and program recommendations to the President, serves as the co-chair of the Academic Senate, and leads the accreditation efforts of the college. While serving in an at-will administrative appointment, the Provost is a member of the faculty.
