Dordt College has a full-time opening for a Database Administrator (DBA). The DBA will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the operations of the campus information system.
Responsibilities include database programming and maintenance, administering various Linux systems, VMware cluster, and other related systems, and providing technical support for end users.
Related training, education or experience is required. A working knowledge of HTML, Java, PHP or Perl, SQL, Apache, Linux, VMware and Windows is required. Research skills and the ability to understand functional business areas when designing programs for end users are also required.

Executive Assistant to the Vice President for College Advancement
Dordt College is seeking a professional, self-starter who will serve as the Executive Assistant to the Vice President for College Advancement. This individual will be responsible for managing and providing diversified administrative and executive secretarial duties for the efficient operation of the Advancement Office. Responsibilities will include managing schedules and travel arrangements, analyzing and monitoring internal processes, preparing operational reports, monitoring department budgets and expenditures, and representing the VPCA in communications with a variety of individuals on and off-campus in both written and verbal communications.
An AA or BA degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable position, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training is required. A Bachelorís Degree is preferred. Candidates should have strong computer skills including word processing, the ability to use spreadsheets, and familiarity with e-mail and database records. Effective oral and written communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and represent Dordt College in a pleasant and professional manner. Graduate Student Assistant Football Coach
Dordt College is accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant position for the football program. The position is a 2 year commitment with annual review. Benefits include tuition discounts for the Dordt College Master of Education Program, campus housing, an annual stipend for hours worked, and a meal card.
Primary responsibilities as a football GA include coaching a defensive position group, working with the defensive coordinator to implement appropriate techniques and strategies, recruiting own area, working with Hudl video editing system, academic development of student athletes, assisting in strength and conditioning program and equipment as well as other responsibilities within the football program. Hours expected to work in role as assistant coach would be approximately 750-1,000 hours.
A bachelorís degree in Education and acceptance into Dordtís graduate program is required. Past experience coaching and/or playing football is desired.

Head Women's Basketball Coach
Dordt College is currently seeking an individual to assume the position of Womenís Head Basketball Coach for the 2015-2016 season. 50% of this personís time will involve duties associated with coaching, recruiting, summer camps and other administrative duties associated with the womenís basketball program. The rest of this personís time will involve other activities which could include teaching or administrative duties, depending on the background and skills of the candidate.
Applicants for this position must possess a Bachelor of Arts degree, Masters preferred, and 3 or more years of coaching experience. Strong knowledge of the game of basketball and successful coaching and recruiting experience at the high school or college level are desired. Strong organizational and coordination skills are desired, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills to lead a team and establish strong relationships on campus, in the community, and with parents and friends of the college.
