If you are interested in taking Spanish classes at Dordt College, and have had any previous exposure to Spanish, it is highly recommended that you take the webCAPE Spanish Placement Test before you arrive in August. This test will give you a good idea of what level course you should take as your first course (Spanish 101, 102, or 201).

Please be aware that the results of this test will be sent to Dr. Socorro Woodbury in the foreign language department and to you via email (if you supply webCAPE with an email address). These results are not exact, but they should give you some idea of which course would be best for you. Dr. Woodbury will be able to contact you and provide you with advice regarding course selection as well.

When you select the link for the webCAPE test, you will be asked to supply a User ID and password. You must supply the following:

Once connected to webCAPE, you will be asked to fill in basic student information for identification purposes. You should supply your name and email address. For the ID number, you can supply any number that you choose. If you want to ensure that your test results get matched correctly to your Dordt records, you may want to supply your social security number, but this is not required.
