One of the requirements for Dordt faculty and administrative staff is to affiliate with a local, confessionally-Reformed congregation that supports Dordt College, and enrollment of any children in one of the local CSI grade schools or high schools. Dordt faculty and administrative staff must give assent to the three forms of Reformed Christian unity, namely, the Belgic Confession, the Heidelberg Catechism, and the Canons of Dordt and/or the Westminster Standards. Such a requirement is not to be interpreted as a judgmental statement, in regard to other Christian traditions. It is rather a reflection of the founding principles of Dordt College and the institution's efforts to develop an educational program based on those convictions. Dordt College endeavors to diversify its staff within the framework of its mission. The commitment of the college to nondiscrimination on the basis of age, color, disability, gender, national or ethnic origin, or race is consistent with federal and state requirements for nondiscrimination in employment. |
