The Alumni Volunteer Assistance Network operates under the belief that our graduates are our best advertisements for Dordt College. (Even if you didn't graduate, but are willing to share your Dordt story, you're welcome to join our network.) You are proof positive of the value and benefit of a Dordt education.

Network volunteers may choose to be involved in one of the following ways:

• Represent Dordt at a college fair.
• Refer prospective students.
• Write, phone or email students who have indicated an interest in attending Dordt College.
• Chaperone a group visit.
• Host or attend gatherings for prospective students.

There are a host of things you can do on your own to support and promote Dordt's recruitment efforts.

• Encourage a campus visit.
• Accompany a student to campus. You can stay one night (at no cost) in the Alumni Guest House--our way of saying, "We appreciate your effort."
• Send clippings about potential students. Be sure to include their name, address, school and phone number.
• Update your local high school (career counselor) with current materials.
• Speak to groups or individuals about your Dordt experience.
• Invite prospective students to attend a Dordt event in your area.
• Wear your Dordt College t-shirts, sweatshirts, caps, etc. regularly!
