PRAIRIE GRASS CHALLENGE
Overview
BRAND NEW FOR 2013!
Many of you have been doing the 48-hour challenge for some years now and you’re getting good at it. Some of you have expressed a real desire to take this further than a 48-hour time frame allows. So this year we are rolling out a brand new category for you to consider.
480 HOURS (20 days)
You now have a choice. You can participate in the thrill of the 48-hour competition with each adrenaline-packed hour in the frantic race to deadline, or you can take almost three weeks to work your script, coach your actors, shoot and edit.
Intrigued? More details here.
Of course, our flagship product remains! The 48-Hour competition has three categories, just like previous years:
- High School
- College
- Post-College
(The 480-Hour category will be judged separately from the 48-Hour competition.)
How will you know which category your team is in? Here is the rule from the "fine print" section of this website:
Your production team determines your category. If you want to enter the high school category, everyone on your production team must be in high school. If your high school team also includes a college student, you will automatically be moved into the college category. If your team includes someone who is post-college age, you will automatically be moved into the post-college category. This does NOT include your actors or musicians – they can be of any age. Your PRODUCTION team determines which category you will compete in. If your production team (producer, director, cameraman, editor, etc) is all college students, you will compete in the college category. Add one adult post-college, however, and you will automatically be moved into the post-college category.
