Andrew Root
Andrew Root serves in the Olson Baalson chair as associate professor of youth and family ministry at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN. Root earned his PhD at Princeton Theological Seminary and has since worked in congregations, para-church ministries, and social service programs.
He is the author of several books, including The Promise of Despair: The Way of the Cross as the Way of the Church (Abingdon, 2010), Children of Divorce: The Loss of Family as the Loss of Being (Baker Academic, 2010), and Revisiting Relational Youth Ministry: From a Strategy of Influence to a Theology of Incarnation (IVP, 2007). He lives in St. Paul with his wife Kara and their two children.
Peter Rollins
Peter Rollins is a writer, lecturer, storyteller, and public speaker. He founded ikon, a faith group that has gained an international reputation for blending live music, visual imagery, soundscapes, theatre, ritual, and reflection to create what they call “transformance art.” Holding a PhD in Post-Structural Thought from Queens University in Belfast, Ireland, Rollins is now a research associate with the Irish School of Ecumenics in Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. He is also the author of How (Not) to Speak of God and of Insurrection. He lives in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Tony Jones
Tony Jones is a theologian and a writer. He is an adjunct professor at Fuller Theological Seminary and at Andover Newton Theological School. He is the author of many books on Christian ministry, including The Church Is Flat: The Relational Ecclesiology of the Emerging Church Movement, The New Christians: Dispatches from the Emergent Frontier, and The Sacred Way: Spiritual Practices for Everyday Life. He speaks regularly on the emerging church, postmodernism, and Christian spirituality. He is also the co-owner of a social media consulting and event-planning company. He lives in Edina, Minnesota with his wife.
Elaine Storkey
Elaine Storkey, known for her lecturing and writing, is a sociologist and feminist evangelical. She has held several academic positions, including serving as a senior research fellow at Wycliffe Hall of Oxford University and at King’s College London. She has given lectures around the world, including in Haiti, India, Ethopia, and North America. Most recently, she and her husband became founder members of Restored, an organization that advocates against violence to women. She is the president of Tearfund, and she is the vice president of the University of Gloucestershire.
