Andrew and Jacob Van Hulzen

Andrew and Jacob Van Hulzen

Maybe this isn't so unusual, but it seems unusual to us. Four Dordt couples (eight alums) have had twin babies in the last few months; all were born prematurely and spent time in NeoNatal Intensive Care Units.

Scott and Rebecca (Sanford) Hazeu (1996) had twin daughters born in September 2003 at thirty-two weeks and were in ICN for about six weeks.

Josh and Alecia (Link) Van Hulzen (1998) had twin sons born in November at twenty-six weeks and were in ICN for twelve and thirteen weeks.

Ross and Angie (Rowenhorst) Bouma (1998) had a twin daughter and son born in November at thirty-five weeks and were in ICN for two weeks.

Dan and Laura (Vander Pol) Beckering (2001) had twin sons born in January at thirty-two weeks and are still in ICN.

The Hazeus, Van Hulzens and Boumas were all at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls. The Beckerings are at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis.
