Piano recital Dec. 15

Kristin Sybesma Elgersma, Chicago, will present a piano recital at Dordt College on Monday, Dec. 15, 5:30 p.m., at the B.J. Haan Auditorium.

Kristin is the daughter of Mark and Emily Sybesma, Sioux Center, and received a degree in music performance at Dordt College in 1999. She completed her M.M. (Master of Music) degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy in June, 2002, and now teaches private and group piano as well as early childhood music and movement classes (including Kindermusik) at the Northwestern University Music Academy, Evanston, and at the Merit School of Music, Chicago.

Her program will include Prelude & Fugue in C Major by J. S. Bach; George Rochberg’s Carnival Music, including Fanfares and March, Blues, Largo doloroso, Sfumato and Toccata-Rag; Sonata in A Major by Beethoven; and Mendelssohn’s Variations Serieuses in D Minor.

The public is invited to attend this free recital.
