Art exhibit begins Nov. 4

The Campus Center Art Gallery at Dordt College will feature the work of Bryan M. Holland in an exhibit that begins Tuesday, Nov. 4 and runs through Monday, Dec. 1.

A public reception for the artist will be Tuesday, Nov. 11, 6:30 - 8 p.m. in the gallery.

Holland is an assistant professor of art at the University of Sioux Falls, where he teaches classes ranging from studio to graphic design. He has also worked as a full-time artist, and has a gallery in Gregory, SD. Art By Bryan M. Holland

Holland has a Masters in Fine Arts (MFA) in painting from the University of South Dakota and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Art from the University of Sioux Falls/ Augustana College joint art program. He has also worked as a graphic artist for about 10 years.

He has been published in the national magazine New American Paintings and has exhibited in the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls, S.D.; the Dahl Fine Arts Center in Rapid City, S.D.; the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha, Neb.; the Sioux City Art Center in Sioux City, Iowa; Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas, as well as other galleries. Holland works primarily in oils and mixed media, often exploring ideas of contrasts, interconnectedness, and symbolism.
