Women's Soccer Poll Released

(Tuesday, August 12; Sioux Center, Iowa)  The Great Plains Athletic Conference Preseason Women’s Soccer Coaches’ Poll has been announced for the 2014 season.

The Defenders look to improve on a 2013 season finish of 0-17-1 overall and 0-9-1 in the GPAC.  The Defenders will open the 2014 season on Saturday, August 30 when they travel to Forest City, Iowa to face Waldorf.  The Defenders open the home season against Clarke on September 13 and will begin GPAC play on September 27 at Midland in Fremont, Nebraska.

The 2014 schedule will consist of 10 league games.

The GPAC Preseason Poll is voted on by the 11 league coaches and they are not allowed to vote for their own team.  Points are awarded in descending order with ten points given for a first place vote.
