International author, lecturer to speak at Dordt College

Dr. John Perkins will be the featured speaker at a special chapel service on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 11 a.m. at the B. J. Haan auditorium on Dordt’s campus. He will speak on the topic “Who is the Greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven,” based on Matthew 18:1-10. Dr. John Perkins

John Perkins rose above the difficulties of poverty, racial discrimination and lack of formal education to be the founder of several ministries to the disadvantaged. He has authored nine books, been awarded seven honorary doctorates, and became an international author, speaker and lecturer.

Perkins is the founder of Mendenhall Ministries Mendenhall, MS; Voice of Calvary Ministries, Jackson, MS; Harambee Christian Family Center and Preparatory School, Pasadena, CA; the Christian Community Development Association and the John Perkins Foundation for Reconciliation and Development.

This event is in conjunction with Pastor’s Day campus activities and is free and open to the public.
