Holty Signs With Dordt Football

(Monday, March 17; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Nick Holty, a senior at Spring Grove High School (Minnesota), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender football program.

Holty earned all-conference teams in 2012 and 2013 and was the 2013 conference lineman of the year for Spring Grove.  He had 66 tackles with 10.3 for loss and helped Spring Grove win four straight conference titles.  His team was the section runner-up in 2010, 2012 and 2013 and a state quarterfinalist in 2011.

Nick is the son of Jim and Elaine Holty of Spring Grove, Minnesota.  He plans to study agriculture at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
