Commencement at Dordt College May 9

Diplomas will be awarded to this year’s graduating class of more than 300 students at Dordt College on Friday, May 9, at the B. J. Haan Auditorium on Dordt’s campus. Sandi Altena

Associate, bachelor and master of education degrees will be conferred, followed by a reception in the recreation center for family and friends, hosted by the Alumni Association.

Sandi Altena, director of resident life at Dordt, will present the commencement address, titled “Living Sacrifice.” Sandi has served as the Director of Residence Life at Dordt College since 1997. She earned her BA from Dordt and her MA from the University of South Dakota. She is currently working on a doctoral program in Adult and Higher Education at USD. Sandi and her husband have six children. She is currently on a one year leave to care for their two recently adopted children from India and to work on her studies.

Seating in the B.J. Haan Auditorium has been reserved for immediate family members of the graduates. General seating for friends and other family members will be in two lecture halls on campus (C-160 and S-101) with a live video feed onto large screens.
