Dr. Egbert Schuurman to Deliver Three Public Lectures

Dr. Egbert Schuurman, professor of philosophy (emeritus) at the University of Eindhoven and Delft, will present three public lectures on the topic of technology. On Tuesday, April 22 at 7:30 in S101, he will speak on the "Ethics of Technology." On Wednesday, 3:30 p.m., S108, he will speak on "An Overview of Philosophical Reflections on the Technological Society." On Thursday, 3:30 p.m., S101, he will speak on "Ethical Problems of Genetic Engineering."

Dr. Schuurman has devoted much of his life to a Christian analysis of the nature of technology and prospects for our technological society. Until his recent retirement, he taught philosophy at the Technological Universities of Delft and Eindhoven and at the Agricultural University of Wageningen. He is still a member of the Senate of Ethics.
