Wensink To Run At Dordt College

(Friday, March 22; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Sam Wensink, a senior at Oostburg High School (Wisconsin), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender cross country and track programs.

Wensink has a personal best of 16:15 in a 5,000 meter cross country race and has bests in track of 10:15 in the 3,200 meters; 4:34 in the 1,600 and 1:59.2 in the 800 meters.  He’s been a four-time state meet qualifier and four-time all-conference selection while also taking academic all-state accolades.  Wensink was a six-time all-conference performer in track and qualified for the state meet twice in the 800 meters.

Sam is the son of Dave and Becky Wensink of Oostburg, Wisconsin.  He plans to study actuarial science at Dordt College.
