Van Maanen To Play Baseball At Dordt

(Thursday, March 21; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Jordan Van Maanen, a senior at Western Christian High School (Iowa), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender baseball program.

Van Maanen played catcher and outfield for the Wolfpack and had 17 hits last season with 21 runs scored and was issued 22 walks.  He was a part of two baseball district champions at Western in 2011 and 2012.  A multi-sport athlete, Van Maanen earned all-district honors in football and was a member of two district champion basketball teams at Western.

Jordan is the son of Evert and Kathy Van Maanen of Doon, Iowa.  He plans to study agriculture at Dordt College.
