Dordt Men Hold Second Seed

The Dordt College Defender men's basketball team will host Briar Cliff in Great Plains Athletic Conference quarterfinal round on Wednesday, February 20 at 7:00. The Defenders are 15-5 in the GPAC and 23-6 overall while Briar Cliff is 10-10 in the league and 19-11 overall. Dordt is seeded second and Briar Cliff seventh in the eight team field.
Northwestern will be the number one seed when the 2013 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men’s Postseason Basketball Championships begins on Wednesday, February 20. The Red Raiders went 17-3 in the league to win the GPAC regular season championship and also secured an automatic berth to the NAIA Men’s Division II National Tournament in Branson. Northwestern finished the regular season at 23-5. Midland is the three seed, and Doane the fourth seed in the conference tournament.
The semifinals are on Saturday, February 23, at the highest two remaining seeds. GPAC Championship Tuesday, sponsored by Rawlings, will be on Tuesday, February 26. The GPAC Postseason Champion garners an automatic berth to the NAIA National Basketball Tournament (the runner-up gains the berth if the regular season champion (Northwestern) wins the postseason).
