Vander Kooi To Run At Dordt

(Friday, January 25; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Nick Vander Kooi, a senior at Providence Christian High School (Michigan), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender cross country and track programs.

Vander Kooi has personal bests of 15:34 on a 5,000 meter cross country course.  In track he has run the 800 meters in 2:02; 4:25 in the 1,600 and 9:31 in the 3,200.  He earned all-state honors in both cross country and track and was an academic all-state pick in both as well.

Nick is the son of Ted and Dawn Vander Kooi.  He plans to study engineering at Dordt College.
