Russell Svenningsen presents

Tenor Russell Svenningsen, assistant professor of music at Augustana College, will perform Franz Schubert’s Winterreise in the B.J. Haan Auditorium on Saturday, January 26, at 7:30 p.m.

Winterreise is a song cycle composed by Schubert that sets 24 poems by Johann Ludwig Wilhelm Müller to music. 

Svenningsen is an active performer who has appeared as a featured soloist with ensembles, orchestras, and opera companies both in the United States and abroad. At Augustana College, he conducts the Collegiate Chorale and teaches applied voice and music theory.

He holds a doctorate in music education from Boston University, a master of music in choral conducting from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music, and a bachelor of music from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.
