Dordt Women Taking Votes In Poll

(Wednesday, January 9; Sioux Center, Iowa)  The Dordt College Defender women’s basketball team is in the “Receiving Votes” category the NAIA Division II Coaches’ Poll released on Tuesday, January 8.

The Defenders are 10-9 this season and upset then no. 1 Concordia on Saturday in GPAC play.  Dordt stands 5-5 in the GPAC at the midpoint of the conference season and is one of six teams in the poll voting this week.  Concordia is no. 2 this week; Morningside is no. 4; Briar Cliff no. 7; Northwestern no. 10 and Dakota Wesleyan no. 24.  Indiana Wesleyan moved into the top spot previously occupied by Concordia.

Dordt will travel to face Dakota State in non-conference play Wednesday, January 9 and will host Midland on Saturday, January 12.
