Schutte Earns NAIA Scholar Athlete Honors

Rachel Schutte, a junior at Dordt College, has been named an NAIA All American Scholar Athlete in basketball. The 2000 Western Christian graduate started 21 games for the Lady Defenders and appeared in all 27 games for Dordt this season. Rachel averaged five points, 2.4 rebounds, one assist and 1.5 steals per game this year. Schutte is a chemistry major and holds a 4.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale and is the daughter of Aletha Schutte and Tom Schutte of Ocheyedan, Iowa.
