English faculty continue tradition of Sunday Night Reading
September 13, 2012
The
Dordt College English department will host its Annual Faculty Reading on Sunday, September 30, at 8 p.m. in the Science Building Lecture Hall (S-101) in the Science and Technology Center on Dordt’s campus. The reading will feature original poetry, fiction, and nonfiction from the following Dordt College English professors: Bob De Smith, Mary Dengler, Bill Elgersma, Josh Mathews, and Howard Schaap.
“The annual English faculty reading allows us to share our creative work with students, colleagues, and community,” said English Professor Mary Dengler. “Creative writing is not for the computer or desk drawer: It’s for others.”
Emeritus professors Dave and Jeri Schelhaas and Mike Vanden Bosch also will participate. This free event is open to all, and refreshments will be served.
