Men's GPAC Poll Released

(Tuesday, August 7; Sioux Center, Iowa)  The Great Plains Athletic Conference men’s soccer coaches have conducted their annual poll in preparation for the upcoming season.  The Dordt College Defenders are picked to tie for sixth in the balloting done by the 11 coaches.

Dordt College totaled 45 points and finished in a tie with Doan for the sixth spot.  Hastings is the favorite after taking 100 points and ten first place votes.  Midland is picked second and garnered the other first place vote.

Dordt finished the 2011 season with a12-7 overall record and the Defenders were 4-6 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference.  Dordt opens the 2012 season at home against Waldorf (Iowa) on Friday, August 31.  The first GPAC contest of the season is a September 22 date with Concordia in Sioux Center.
