Baseball Signs Tarver
August 7, 2012
(Tuesday,
August 7; Sioux Center, Iowa) Jake Tarver, a recent graduate of Phoenix Christian High School (Arizona), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender baseball program.
Tarver batted .592 last season and was the team leader in batting average, doubles and runs batted in. He earned first team all-state honors from the AIA Coaches, Arizona Republic and Arizona Sports TV and won the 2012 United States Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award.
Jake is the son of Blair and Renee Tarver. He plans to study education and biology at Dordt College.
