Dordt College nursing pinning ceremony May 5

The nursing department at Dordt College will hold a pinning ceremony Thursday, May 5, where eight Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students will be presented with a unique Dordt nursing pin. The ceremony will be from 3 to 5 p.m. in the De Yager Activity Center in the Campus Center. The community is welcome to attend.

This year’s graduating class consists of Jenna Bruck, Momence, Ill.; Sonya Kuiper, Luverne, Minn.; Holly Hooyer, Sioux Center, Iowa; Tiffany Schuller, Orange City, Iowa; Amanda Haan, Waupun, Wis.; Kim Goslinga, Orange City, Iowa; Jocilyn Wubben, Clara City, Minn.; and Leah Hanenburg, Edgerton, Minn.

Belinda Lassen will give this year’s keynote address. Lassen is a certified nurse midwife who has been providing services through the Sioux Center Community Hospital & Health Center Avera for more than 20 years. She also provides her services through the Greater Sioux Community Health Center.
