"Kinetic Typography Movies" to be presented by Dordt Motion Graphics students

Dordt College’s graphic design and animation class invites the community to a viewing of their animation videos on Tuesday, April 5, from 4 to 5 p.m. in SB 101 in the Science and Technology Center.

Students presenting their animations are Sean Antonides, Barrie, Ontario; Matthew Bonnema, Circle Pines, Minn.; Jacob Buss, Waterloo, Iowa; Kelley De Jong, Orange City, Iowa; Rindy De Nooy, Sioux Center, Iowa; Ellie Dykstra, Bozeman, Mont.; Lindsey Folkerts, Inwood, Iowa; Carrie Goff, Crawford, Neb.; Gary Huitsing, Edmonton, Alberta; Cady Millage, Fordyce, Neb.; Timothy Morgan, Farmington, Minn.; Annemarie Osinga, Dublin, Texas; Michelle Stam, Oskaloosa, Iowa; and Vero Visser Galvan, Asuncion, Paraguay.

David Versluis, the class instructor, described the project as “taking a piece of prose, lyrics, or poetry and expressing that dialogue through motion.” The students are bringing a static scene to life using movement. Each video is approximately one minute in length.
