Dordt College will resume classes as scheduled at 8 am on Tuesday, Jan. 11. Many students have already returned to campus, and the college is assisting with arrangements for students arriving at regional airports.
Students flying in today should know that, as long as roads remain open, Dordt shuttles with experienced winter drivers are available to pick them up, and the shuttle late registration fee will be waived. If you are a Dordt student who needs a ride because your other plans have fallen through, please call Cindy at 722-6405.
In addition, the Dordt College Alumni Office has had an outpouring of alumni volunteers in Sioux City, Sioux Falls, and Omaha who are willing to house students overnight if needed. For more information about offering your house or about a place to stay, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Dordt College Concert Choir, which was scheduled to perform at First CRC in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, as the last stop before returning to campus, has canceled that event due to the weather. The Dordt College Concert Choir will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 14, at the B.J. Haan Auditorium on campus.
Students/parents should use their best judgment on student travel plans back to Sioux Center. If you are aware of students arriving late, please email Emily Vande Griend at email@example.com.
