Honors Recital September 17 at Dordt

A music recital featuring this year’s Dordt College music scholarship award students will be Friday, Sept. 17, at 3 p.m. in the B. J. Haan Auditorium. Both instrumental and vocal music will be presented, and the public is welcome to attend.

Performers in the Honors Recital are freshmen Amanda Faber, Bothell, WA (organ); Janna Mulder, Lynden, WA (bassoon); Anna Visser, Ingersoll, ON (piano); Matthew De Jong, Lansing, IL (voice); Emalie Van Donselaar, Oskaloosa, IA (piano); sophomores Mia Kornelis, Sioux Center, IA (soprano); Ward Matthias, Sumner, IA (organ); juniors Jessica Wesselius, Sioux Center, IA (organ); Emily Hageman, Littleton, CO (voice); and senior Jonathan Posthuma, Brandon, WI (piano).

More than 300 students participate in the music program at Dordt, taking the opportunity to perform in four choral groups, two orchestras, and three bands. Music scholarships are available to qualified students.
