Spring choral concert May 1

Choral Ensemble

All four choral ensembles at Dordt College will perform in the final vocal concert of the academic year, to be held Saturday, May 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium.

Performing under the direction of Dr. Benjamin Kornelis will be the Concert Choir, Chorale, and Kantorei, with a variety of repertoire celebrating the season of spring.

The Women’s Chorus, directed by Pam De Haan, will present a pair of songs they recently sang in Orange City together with Northwestern’s Women’s Chorus. Animaamin, a Jewish folk melody, will be conducted by Emily Greenfield, a senior music education major from Kamrar, Iowa. The spiritual, Didn't My Lord Deliver Daniel, will be conducted by Susan Le Mahieu, a senior music performance major from Frankfort, Ill.

Admission to this performance is free, with a freewill offering received to benefit music scholarships at Dordt College.
