Senior Art Show April 16 through May 1

Senior Art

 The last of three senior art exhibits at Dordt College will be held April 16 through May 1 in the Campus Center Art Gallery. An artist reception is being held Friday, April 17, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., with students discussing their work at 6 p.m.

Featured in this show are David Lammers, Maurice, IA, who double majored in art (fine arts studio and art history) and engineering; Justin Vonk, a graphic design major from Sioux Falls, SD; Melanie De Graaf, a graphic design major from Leighton, IA; and Caryn Nydam, a fine arts and graphic design major from Modesto, CA.

Senior Art

The exhibit features a wide variety of art and graphic design including drawing, painting, fine art printmaking, photography, ceramic work, sculpture, and portfolios of commercial layouts and print/logo proposals.

This show will be followed by a senior super show May 2-8, featuring all 14 senior art majors.

The public is invited to this free art exhibition. The Campus Center Art Gallery is open every day from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Dordt College offers art degrees with five different emphases: fine arts studio, graphic design, art history, teaching art, or pre-architecture.
