April 17, 2008

Ryan Donahoe, Orange City, has begun work at Dordt College in the position of technical director. As such, he serves as facility manager for the B.J. Haan Auditorium, coordinating the lighting, audio, and sound for all events held there.

Donahoe is also part of the Dordt College Theatre Department, overseeing set construction, lighting, and sound design for campus productions.

“It’s great to be back on a college campus,” remarked Donahoe, who said he’s looking forward to meeting and providing oversight to workstudy and theater students at Dordt.

Donahoe has a bachelor’s degree in technical theater from Whitworth College, Spokane, WA, and a master’s degree in religious studies from Gonzaga University, also in Spokane. Ryan and his wife, Andrea, have recently moved to Orange City, where Andrea serves as a psychology instructor at Northwestern College.

Prior to moving to Orange City, Donahoe served as manager of the Bozarth Mansion and Retreat Center at Gonzaga University and an events manager at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
