March 26, 2008

Fully Committed, a one-man Dordt College Theatre performance, will be presented at the college’s New World Theatre April 3-5, opening each night at 7:30 p.m.

Jonathon Shaffstall, West Milford, N.J, is featured in this senior show. He is a theatre arts major with emphases in acting and directing.

The one-man comedy performance revolves around a character named Sam, who is a struggling young actor working the phones in a high-class restaurant. In the course of each show, Shaffstall will present over 40 characters with a wide range of dialects and mannerisms, ranging from an elderly woman to restaurant diners with Japanese, Lebanese, French, Hispanic, and Boston accents, among others.

Admission is $1 at the door, with limited seating available in this theater located by the south entrance of the Classroom Building, adjacent to Fourth Avenue NE.
