Dordt Discovery Days registration opens Thursday
March 17, 2008
Middle school students are invited to register for Dordt Discovery Days, a five-day camp being held on the campus of Dordt College June 23-27.
Registration for Discovery Days opens March 20, with many classes filling up quickly. On-line information and registration are available at www.dordt.edu/events/ddd/
Dordt Discovery Days offers middle school students an opportunity to explore new interests or dive deeper into familiar ones. Students meet new friends from a variety of places and backgrounds and benefit from living and learning together in Christian community. Participants may choose a day camp option (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.); enroll as commuters (9 a.m. to 9 p.m.); or as residents (stay overnight in supervised campus residence halls for the week).
Participants have the opportunity to choose both a morning and an afternoon class from a wide variety of offerings, including sports, art, music, theater, photography, nursing, woodworking, etc.
Among this year’s 32 class offerings are “Stained Glass Art Gallery,” “Design on a Dime,” “American Sign Language,” “”Geocaching,” “Down on the Farm,” and “Thrill Ride Science.” For a complete listing and details, see www.dordt.edu/events/ddd/
Dordt Discovery Days is for students who have completed sixth, seventh, or eighth grade. For more information, contact Dianne De Wit at 712-722-6029.
