Dordt Discovery Days

Middle school students are invited to register for Dordt Discovery Days, a five-day camp being held on the campus of Dordt College June 23-27.

Registration for Discovery Days opens March 20, with many classes filling up quickly. On-line information and registration are available at

Dordt Discovery Days offers middle school students an opportunity to explore new interests or dive deeper into familiar ones. Students meet new friends from a variety of places and backgrounds and benefit from living and learning together in Christian community. Participants may choose a day camp option (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.); enroll as commuters (9 a.m. to 9 p.m.); or as residents (stay overnight in supervised campus residence halls for the week).

Participants have the opportunity to choose both a morning and an afternoon class from a wide variety of offerings, including sports, art, music, theater, photography, nursing, woodworking, etc.

Among this year’s 32 class offerings are “Stained Glass Art Gallery,” “Design on a Dime,” “American Sign Language,” “”Geocaching,” “Down on the Farm,” and “Thrill Ride Science.” For a complete listing and details, see

Dordt Discovery Days is for students who have completed sixth, seventh, or eighth grade. For more information, contact Dianne De Wit at 712-722-6029.
