Corn production presentations Dec. 11

Two Dordt College agriculture students will present the results of research projects Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 8 p.m. in the Dordt College Science and Technology Center lecture hall, S-101.

Presenting corn production research will be Dereck Klaassen, a senior agriculture major with a plant science emphasis from Ellsworth, MN; and Chase Gingerich, a senior with a general agriculture emphasis from Riverside, IA.

Gingerich’s topic is “Researching the Effectiveness of the Illinois Soil Nitrogen Test as a Nitrogen Management Tool for Corn Production.”
Klaassen’s topic is “The Effect of Corn Traits on Grain Yields and Overall Field Economics.”

Anyone interested in this corn production research is welcome to attend.
