Service of Lessons and Carols Dec. 9

A Service of Lessons and Carols will be presented Sunday, Dec. 9, at 8 p.m. in Dordt College’s B.J. Haan Auditorium.
Featuring the Dordt College Chorale and directed by Dr. Benjamin Kornelis, the service will focus on the redemption story with readings, corresponding music, and the opportunity for the audience to join in singing some of the season’s best-loved carols.
The program includes music and chants from 12th-century to 20th-century anthems, as well as many traditional favorites. Helen van Beek will accompany on the organ, and a few carols will also be accompanied by brass.
Admission is free, with an offering received to benefit music scholarships at Dordt College.
