Dordt theology, ag students featured on KMEG

September 27, 2007

KMEG 14 news reporter Andi Hauser was on Dordt’s campus Tuesday to interview three Dordt theology students for a weekly feature story, “For Goodness Sake.”

The story was aired Wednesday night and Thursday morning (Sioux Center cable channel 8). It is currently posted for viewing.

Hauser spoke with Micah Schuurman, Kyle Dieleman, and Justin Struik about why they are planning on careers in Christian ministry. Hauser noted that nationwide the number of students entering seminary is significantly down, and asked the students and Professor Wayne Kobes for their insight on why young people are not choosing this career path.

KMEG also has a farm safety story made with Dordt ag students currently posted at their website.

The Dordt College Ag Department assisted KMEG TV station in Sioux City in the creation of farm safety ads for the harvest season, as well as a feature story which ran last week on KMEG 14.

The KMEG team interviewed Mike Schouten, Dr. Duane Bajema, James Korver, and Nadji Remer, and spent two hours filming the Ag 105 Ag Safety lab activity at the Ag Stewardship Center.
