June 26, 2007Dordt Discovery Days academic camp brought 213 junior high students to the campus June 25-29.

This year's theme is "Press. Reflect. Discover." The week-long camp is offered annually, with most classes taught by Dordt College professors or alumni, and participants invited to stay in college housing.
Discovery Day participants explore interests ranging from music to computer programming, art to science, theater to sports. This year’s camp offers 27 courses, including Ooey-Gooey Science; Woodworking 101; The Weird Factor; Toy Designers Challenge, Thrill Ride Science, DC Recording Studio, Animal Traclers, String Studio, and many other classes in music, theater, art and sports.
Sixth, seventh and eighth grade participants represent 15 states and one Canadian province: Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Missouri, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Kansas, Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming, Washington, Maine, Virginia, and Ontario, Canada.
