Redeker, Jeong recital April 20

Two Dordt College students will present a recital at the B.J. Haan Auditorium on Friday, April 20, at 7:30 p.m.
Performing will be Bradley Redeker, a bass singer from Waupun, WI, and Grace Jeong, an organist from Boryung, Choongnam, South Korea. The public is also invited to a reception following the performance.
Redeker will present selections from “South Pacific,” “The Little Mermaid,” and “Beauty and the Beast.” His program also includes German folksongs (“The Erlking” by Schubert and “La Vendetta” from Le Nozze di Figaro by W.A. Mozart) and a trio of contemporary English pieces. His vocal instructor is Deb Vogel. Redeker has been a semi-finalist at Lewis & Clark Chapter NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) competitions, and a soloist with the Dordt College Concert Choir.
Jeong will be performing on Dordt’s 57-rank Casavant pipe organ. Her program includes a Baroque piece “Toccata in C” by J.S Bach, “Fantaisie” by Jehan Alain, and “Boléro” by Fessy. Her organ instructor is Dr. Robert Horton. Jeong claimed first place in the Jangsin University entrance competition in Seoul, Korea (2003) and second place in another competition that year.
Redeker is a senior psychology major in the pre-seminary program. His parents are Bruce and Janet Redeker, Waupun, WI. Also participating in his portion of the recital will be Marlys Grimm, accompanist.
Jeong is a junior organ major. Her parents are Woo Ryul Jeong and Young Soon Oh, from Seoul, Korea.
