Climate change seminar April 19

Dordt College will host a seminar on “The Science of Climate Change” on Thursday, April 19, 8:15 p.m. in the Science and Technology Center Lecture Hall SB 101.

Speaking on the topic of global climate change will be Dr. Douglas Allen, professor of physics at Dordt College. Trained in atmospheric physics, Allen’s current research interests include numerical weather prediction, stratospheric transport and mixing, and data assimilation. Before coming to Dordt, Dr. Allen worked in research at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, University of Chicago, and the Naval Research Laboratory.

A time of response and discussion will follow Dr. Allen’s presentation.
This lecture is sponsored by the Natural Science Division at Dordt, and is free and open to the public.
