Second senior show at Dordt Campus Center Gallery

April 4, 2007

Senior Art Show

Five senior art majors at Dordt College are exhibiting their work April 4-15 at the Campus Center Art Gallery in Sioux Center. An artist reception will be Saturday, April 7, from 2:30-4, with students discussing their work beginning at 3 p.m.

Participating artists are Rebecca Postma, Clara City, MN; Heather Link, Renville, MN; Nate Regnerus, Lynden, WA; Nicole Vandenberg, Norval, ON; and Kara Kuipery, Rockwood, ON. Four of the five are graphic art majors, so this show has a strong emphasis on graphic design.

“A Different Point of View,” is the theme of the exhibit, which showcases places where the participants have been or hope to go, including Europe (N-SPICE), New Mexico, and Africa.

Each of the students selected their best efforts and final portfolios from their years of study and art production at Dordt College for the show. A wide range of studio techniques and media are represented, including paintings, drawings, printmaking, photography, sculpture and ceramics.

This is the second of three senior shows that will take place before graduation. The third show will be April 17-29, with a Super Show scheduled May 1-9.

The exhibit is free and open for display daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Dordt College Campus Center Art Gallery.
