Senior Art Show

A public reception will be Friday, April 21, from 5:30- 7p.m. Student artists will talk about their work, how they arrived at the art on display, and what their goals are for future work in art or design, beginning at 6 p.m.

Students have selected their best efforts and final portfolios from the years of study and art production at Dordt for the show, with a wide range of studio techniques and media. Each of three senior shows are quite different as to choice of subject matter, use of media and treatment of the subject through the design, style, and presentation of each work of art.

Laurel Koerner specializes in large scale figure painting and will also be exhibiting etching prints, drawings and photography. She is also active in both the music and theatre arts programs at Dordt, excelling in acting, singing and scene painting.

Adam Wilkerson will be exhibiting photography and a digital photography booklet. He is also a member of Dordt’s baseball team.

Michelle Obbink will be showing work in graphics, painting, and photography. She is also completing the administrative assistant program at Dordt, and performs in the choir and band.

Brent Koops will be showing sculpture, painting, and photography in the exhibit, while Lois Garrett will show her photography, ceramic clay work, and sculpture.

The exhibit is free and open for display every day at the Dordt College Campus Gallery, second level, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
