WOW week kicks off new year

Week of Welcome

A Week Of Welcome (WOW) begins at Dordt College Saturday, Aug. 20, as incoming freshmen students make the move to residence halls and take the first step of their college years.

New students at Dordt will also attend an All College Fair on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Rec Center and a commissioning celebration at 4 p.m., followed by a WOW picnic and dessert social.

Fall classes at Dordt College begin on Wednesday, Aug. 24. A campus-wide convocation ceremony for all faculty, staff and students, and the public is scheduled at the B. J. Haan Auditorium at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25. Also on Thursday will be the “Taste of Sioux Center” student open house at the Rec Center from 1:30-4:30; an all-college picnic at 5 p.m.; and a freshman talent show at 8 p.m.
