Dordt College will hold its Jubilee year commencement ceremony in the B.J. Haan Auditorium on Friday, May 6 at 10 a.m.

The 2005 graduating class consists of 311 students, with degrees conferred including Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Bachelor of Social Work, and Master of Education degrees. A reception for family and friends will follow in the recreation center. The reception is hosted by the Alumni Association.

Deborah Haan, wife of the first president of Dordt College, the late B.J. Haan, will present the commencement address, “The Past: A Challenge for the Future.” Haan will highlight the principles that brought Dordt College into being and the mission statement which the college continues to stand upon, while challenging graduates to carry on their covenantal kingdom purpose as they leave Dordt to fulfill their mission in the world.

Seating in the B.J. Haan Auditorium is by ticket only and has been reserved for immediate family members of the graduates. Additional seating, with a live video feed, will be available in the science building (S101 and S108) and the classroom building (C160).
