Violin recital features Dordt senior

Lori (Nibbelink) Fey, Sioux Center, will present a violin recital at the B.J. Haan Auditorium Wednesday, March 23, at 7:30 p.m.

Fey is a senior at Dordt College majoring in communication and minoring in music performance. The daughter of Dennis and Carla Nibbelink, Sioux Center, she will be accompanied by Hannah Hooyer, also of Sioux Center. Fey’s violin instructor is Jameson Cooper.

Included in her repertoire will be “Polish Dance” a fun piece by Edmund Severn that uses a lot of expression; “Koncert in G” by Haydn, a classical piece with a conversation between the piano and violin; and “Vocalise” by Rachmaninoff, a sad, slow love song.

The recital and a reception following are free and open to the public.
