Yale professor to speak at Dordt Convocation

Dordt College will host a convocation Tuesday, March 8, 11 a.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium.
Dr. Nicholas P. Wolterstorff, a Noah Porter Professor Emeritus of Philosophical Theology at Yale University and Yale Divinity School, will speak on the topic “Fifty Years Later.”
Dr. Wolterstorff earned an A.B. degree at Calvin College, then an M.A. and Ph.D. from Harvard University. Upon completion of his Ph.D., Wolterstorff was an instructor of Philosophy at Yale University from 1957-1959. For 30 years he was Professor of Philosophy at Calvin College, before returning to Yale in 1989. During his time at Calvin College, Wolterstorff was also a visiting professor of Philosophy at Haverford College, University of Chicago, University of Texas, University of Michigan, Free University of Amsterdam, Princeton University, University of Notre Dame, Temple University, and University of Cape Town.
Wolterstorff is the author of 16 books, including most recently, “Educating for Shalom: Essays on Christian Higher Education,” published in 2004. He has also published 150 articles in professional journals and nearly as many in other publications.
The public is invited to join the faculty, staff and students of Dordt College for this Jubilee year convocation event.
