Tapestry trio to perform here Friday

Tapestry, a trio of faculty musicians from Drake University in Des Moines will perform at the B.J. Haan Auditorium at Dordt College on Friday, Feb. 4, at 7:30 p.m.

Blending flute, piano and vocal skills, the trioís repertoire ranges from Baroque to contemporary music. Performing will be Erika Inge Leake, assistant professor of flute at Drake University; Michelle Havlik-Jergens, staff accompanist at Drake University; and Leanne Freeman-Miller, soprano and associate professor of voice at Drake University.

All three have performed extensively throughout the United States, have received many awards, and are in demand as both performers and clinicians.

The program Friday night at Dordt includes music by composers Jeanne Shaffer, Theobald Boehm, Franz Liszt, George Gershwin, Douglas Moore, Giacomo Puccini, Camille Saint-SaŽns, Maurice Ravel and Cecille Chaminade.

This guest recital is hosted by the Dordt College Music Department and is free and open to the public.
