January 11, 2005
Two new staff members have been hired to fill openings at Dordt College for the new semester.
Jill Jacobsma, Orange City, has accepted the position of Campus Center Welcome Desk Attendant. Jill attended Dordt College for one year, and then earned her BA from Northwestern College in Orange City, where she also worked as a switchboard operator and a career development center assistant. For the past eight years she has been employed as purchasing assistant and production planning coordinator at Med-Tec.
Jacobsma is married to an attorney in Orange City, Mike Jacobsma, who is also an adjunct faculty member at Dordt, teaching constitutional and criminal law.
Cindy Nederhoff, Sioux Center, has accepted the position of KDCR Coordinator for Financial Support. Nederhoff is currently the theatre arts secretary at Dordt College and will complete her duties in that position for second semester while beginning her new position.
Nederhoff has previously assisted with organization and fund-raising for KDCR radio auctions, as providing temporary staffing in many other campus positions over the past four and one-half years. Prior to that, she was a school secretary in Sioux Falls for 10 years. A graduate of Dordt College, Cindy is married to Arlan Nederhoff, vice-president of business affairs at Dordt.
